I've been in home services marketing since 2003. That is long enough to have watched the industry go from Yellow Pages to Google to paid search to AI, and to have made expensive mistakes at every transition. Today I run Rocket Media, Digital Ignitor, and Rocket AI Labs. I document what works (and what does not) at bensaibrain.com.
Ben Kalkman is the founder of Rocket Media, a boutique home services marketing agency he started in 2003, and an AI practitioner who documents his experiments in public. He lives in Gilbert, Arizona.

Career arc
Twenty-three years, one industry
Rocket Media grew into a boutique agency of 28 people with a deliberate cap of 100 clients and an average client tenure of twelve years. It was named a Google Premier Partner in 2025. In recent years the work turned toward putting AI to use inside the business, with more than 47 experiments documented in public and 18 honest failures along the way.

Building what I'm selling
Ben writes and speaks about what holds up in practice, not in theory. The venture stack exists so the ideas get tested against payroll, clients, and real outcomes before they ever become advice.
To lead, by living a balanced and focused life, and caring enough to make a significant difference in all that I do.

Ben lives in Gilbert, Arizona with his wife Lindsay and their nine kids, a household of eleven.
