Ben Kalkman

23 years in home services. AI practitioner. Building what I'm selling.

I've been in home services marketing since 2003. That is long enough to have watched the industry go from Yellow Pages to Google to paid search to AI, and to have made expensive mistakes at every transition. Today I run Rocket Media, Digital Ignitor, and Rocket AI Labs. I document what works (and what does not) at bensaibrain.com.

What I've broken so far

Failures, in public.

I run AI experiments inside my businesses, and I publish the ones that did not work. That number is going to keep going up, on purpose. The honest version lives at bensaibrain.com.

The operating system

Proof I do what I write about

One operator, several ventures. The work below is where the ideas get tested against payroll, clients, and real outcomes.

The whole picture

The point of all of it

To lead, by living a balanced and focused life, and caring enough to make a significant difference in all that I do.

Family

I'm married to Lindsay. We have nine kids. That makes us a household of eleven in Gilbert, Arizona. Building businesses while keeping a marriage and showing up for nine kids is the work most operators do not talk about publicly. It is also the work that matters most.

Faith

My faith shapes how I run businesses and how I show up at home. I stopped trying to separate the two years ago. If that matters to you, you will know it when we work together. If it does not, the work still holds up on its own.

The things that fill the hours I'm not running a P&L.

Thinking

Three things I write about

Everything I publish lands in one of these. Practitioner notes, not theory.

AI That Actually Works

Hard-won lessons from running real AI experiments inside a real business. 47 tries, 18 failures, and the few things that held up.

Work with me

Three ways to engage. Advisory for ongoing strategic input. Engagement Sprints for a defined deliverable in 4 to 12 weeks. Implementation when you need the work done, not just designed.

Advisory

Founders, boards, and operators who need a thinking partner on standing call.

Monthly or quarterly retainer. Calls, async messaging, decision-document review. Strategy, operating-system design, AI governance, board prep.

Engagement Sprint

Companies with one specific build that needs operator-level direction.

A 4 to 12-week defined-scope project with concrete deliverables. Typical sprints: venture stack design, AI implementation roadmap, brand and positioning rebuild, EOS install or repair.

Implementation

When you need the work done, not just designed.

Full-scope delivery through Rocket Media (home services) or Digital Ignitor (cross-vertical). Marketing, websites, AI products, full operating-system installs.
